Two of the fallen from Springfield,
Massachusetts, both Air Force pilots,
appear on Panel 48 West of the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington,
DC. John Francis Overlock
is on Line 29 and Nobe Ray
Koontz Jr. is on
Line 33. Behind Overlock on Line 29 is his co-pilot,
Michael McElhanon
of Bonham, Texas. Their names are forever
etched in the same
front-and-rear positions that the men occupied in
the cockpit
on their final flight.
